THE FORGOTTEN FLOWER

On the day of her coronation, May, the heir to the throne of Arcadia, is far from imagining that her life is about to change forever.

As the kingdom celebrates her ascension, knights from a distant island arrive at the palace in the middle of the night. They bring the king a letter that leaves him with no choice: Prince Evander, imprisoned for centuries in the **Lair of No Return**, must be saved. Avalon has chosen May to carry out this mission. If Arcadia refuses, war threatens to break out.

As the kingdom begins to mobilize and preparations for the journey-and for the possibility of war-spread throughout the palace, May realizes that the fate of Arcadia now rests on a decision far greater than her own fears. Though sending his daughter into danger is the last thing he wishes to do, her father knows that, before he is her father, he is the King of Arcadia.

With Cassia and Nahla by her side, May turns to the royal archives in search of answers and discovers traces of a past no one seems willing-or able-to remember.

An ancient flower that disappeared from the royal crowns, the story of an alliance erased from the chronicles, a prince imprisoned for centuries, and a mission from which no one has ever returned all appear to be connected by the same secret...

And to uncover the truth, May will have to leave the kingdom she has only just become destined to rule and cross a boundary that her own bloodline once swore never to cross again.
