In The Month of May

A year after their wedding, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov finally get the honeymoon they never had.

With the Ottawa Centaurs' season ending early and the hockey world temporarily behind them, the two husbands head to Russia so Ilya can show Shane the country he once called home. It's supposed to be two weeks of sightseeing, old memories, good food, and plenty of time alone together.

But Russia has a surprise waiting for them.

During the final days of their trip, Shane and Ilya make an unexpected stop at an orphanage. There, among a group of children playing outside, they notice a quiet little girl sitting by herself.

Her name is Mayling.

She's only three years old, with a Russian father and an Asian mother, and a history neither Shane nor Ilya can forget after they hear it.

They came to Russia as two husbands looking for the honeymoon they never got.
