Lucy is the newest intern at the biggest publishing house in the city. And unfortunately for her, she's been placed under the supervision of the one woman who clearly doesn't want her there.

Cold, distant, and impossible to read, the editor-in-chief never makes things easy for Lucy. Every mistake is met with an unreadable stare, every word carefully measured.

But the more Lucy tries to figure her out, the harder it becomes to look away.

There's something about her calm confidence. Something about the distance she keeps between them. Something Lucy can't quite put into words-and doesn't know if she should.

Because beneath that cold exterior, Lucy begins to notice cracks. Small glimpses of something the editor-in-chief is desperate to hide.
