Grey came to Valegrave University for a fresh start. Instead, he caught the attention of its most dangerous secret.

Valegrave was supposed to be nothing more than an elite university filled with strange traditions, colored uniforms, and enough old money to make it painfully obvious he didn't belong.

Then he met Elijah Park.

Cold, controlling, untouchable, and a member of Obsidian, the rank no one talks about and everyone knows better than to cross.

Grey should've stayed away from him. Instead, Elijah put his name around his throat and declared him his before Grey even understood what that meant.

Now everyone is watching him, and Elijah knows something they don't.

There's something wrong with Grey's blood. Something ancient that shouldn't exist anymore, and the closer he gets to his Awakening, the harder it becomes to ignore the monster stirring beneath his skin, or the terrifying pull toward the man who seems to know exactly what he's becoming.

Elijah swears the collar around Grey's throat is meant to protect him, but Grey is beginning to realize he should've asked what Elijah was protecting him from.
