Hazuki never knew where she came from.

Found abandoned near the outskirts of Konohagakure as an infant, she was taken in by the village and raised as one of its own. All she knows is that she has strange eyes, an unusual chakra signature, and a past that seems determined to remain hidden.

But Hazuki's past isn't simply forgotten.

It was stolen.

Years ago, Orochimaru abducted an infant from the mysterious Chinoike Clan, determined to discover how far their legendary genjutsu abilities could be pushed. In one of his experiments, he introduced Senju blood into her body to see what would happen.

When he decided his experiment was a failure, he abandoned her.

He never expected the little girl to survive.

He certainly never expected her to grow into a powerful kunoichi of Konoha.

Now Hazuki is assigned to Team 10 alongside Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Choji Akimichi. What begins as childhood friendship slowly becomes something neither Hazuki nor Shikamaru knows how to name.

But as Hazuki grows stronger, pieces of her forgotten past begin resurfacing.

Orochimaru remembers her.

And he wants her back.

From the Chūnin Exams to the Akatsuki, from forbidden techniques to the Fourth Great Ninja War, Hazuki will be forced to confront the truth about who she is-and decide for herself where she truly belongs.
