His fingers grazed my cheeks and I felt his warm breath fanning across my lips.
"You truly live up to your name, Stella," he whispered into my ears, and I shivered at his proximity. "But you shine brighter than any star does."
That's when I felt that feeling that my mother always talked to me about- like I was flying, falling and standing on the edge of a cliff at the same time.
That's when I realised that I was falling in love with him.

My name is Stella King. I have nothing and no one to love after losing the people most dear to me. When my new school assigns me a mentor who is only two years older than me, I am furious. As if some teenager who doesn't have a clue what I'm going through will teach me anything.
