Some dreams are harder to wake from.

Penelope has always been a vivid dreamer.

She just never expected one of them to start talking back.

Night after night, she finds herself in strange, shifting places with the same man-a stranger named Vincent who seems just as confused by her presence as she is by his. With no reason to believe they'll ever meet and nothing to lose by being honest, the two develop an unlikely friendship built in the hours between sleeping and waking.

Vincent knows Penelope isn't real.

At least, that's what he tells himself.

Because believing otherwise would mean explaining why he remembers every conversation. Why she knows things he's never told anyone. Why falling asleep has begun to feel less like dreaming and more like going somewhere.
