Stranger in Hawkins

After losing her parents five months ago, eighteen-year-old Roxanne 'Roxy' Kelly moves from Denver, Colorado, to Hawkins, Indiana to live with her godfather Chief Jim Hopper. Starting her senior year at Hawkins High, her striking looks, flame-red hair, and confident personality quickly make her the talk of the school, dubbing her the 'hottest girl in town' - but Roxy couldn't care less about popularity.

But she is not the only new face in Hawkins, so are thirteen-year-old Max Mayfield and her older stepbrother, seventeen-year-old Billy Hargrove.

Roxy unexpectedly crosses paths with The Party after finding Will wandering outside the local arcade in a trance one night. At the same time, she becomes acquainted with Hawkins' older teenagers from her school.

What none of them know, is that Roxy was raised by a former Special Forces Sergeant and a respected surgeon. She spent her childhood camping, hunting, first aid, survival skills, and became a skilled and lethal archer, making her far more capable than she appears.

As the supernatural events surrounding Hawkins intensifies and the threat of the Upside Down grows, Roxy is pulled deeper into a world she never knew existed. For the first time since losing her parents, she finds people worth protecting - and discover just how far she's willing to go to keep them alive.
