Things We Never Said

This isn't a love story. That would be too romantic.

Nora and Miles have known each other long enough to know exactly how to hurt each other.

Once, they were best friends. Then something changed. Years passed, lives moved on, and neither of them ever quite managed to forget what happened between them.

Now they're older, supposedly wiser, and stuck together on a road trip that was meant to be simple.

It isn't.

Because history has a way of following you into the passenger seat.

There are old wounds that never healed properly. Memories neither of them talk about. Lines they shouldn't cross - and a growing list of reasons why they keep crossing them anyway.

Nora tells herself she knows Miles.

Miles tells himself he knows Nora.

Neither of them are particularly good at telling the truth.

And somewhere between the late-night conversations, the arguments, the silence, and everything that happens when no one else is around, they have to confront the question they've spent years avoiding:
