Where the Earth Swallows You

Buck has always been the one who runs toward danger.

As a firefighter with the 118, he's faced collapsing buildings, raging fires, and impossible rescues. But when Buck takes a solo holiday to explore the wilderness, one adventure turns into a nightmare when the earth beneath him gives way.

Trapped deep inside a collapsing cave with no way out, Buck is forced to confront the possibility that he might never make it home.

Back in Los Angeles, Eddie knows something is wrong.

Buck has stopped answering his messages. His calls go unanswered. And when news breaks of a cave collapse at the very place Buck had travelled to, Eddie is struck by a terrifying certainty:

Buck is in there.

When Buck is finally rescued, battered but alive, both men are forced to confront what the near-loss has made impossible to ignore.

They've spent years calling it friendship.

But some feelings are too deep to keep hidden forever.
