As King Oberon and his warlords pray for the best, Lisa is held captive in the dark fortress of the BloodKing himself. The question is, what does he want with her?

Lisa's no longer holding out for hero. She's alone, and it's up to her to survive in this dark castle of masked hatred and threats wrapped in silk.

Meanwhile, the Seelie are forced to hold back all their seafaring forces because the BloodKing has created a monster; a black Phoenix that destroys ships and attacks sailors.

Puck and Aggwen set out with a strange crew of sailors in an attempt to catch the Phoenix and kill it. But there's just one problem with that plan.

The ship is haunted. By a poltergeist that spends all its nights laughing at the sailor's quarrels and misfortune. And more than anyone, the ghost is after Puck.

After a terrible night on the ship's deck, Puck decides that it's up to him to capture this fiendish poltergeist that's been tormenting the sailors. But there may be more to the ghost than meets the eye.... And the Phoenix as well.
