It wasn't love.
It couldn't be love, not even if we wanted it to be.
Because HE didn't do love. And I was no damn exeption.
There was love between us, sure. That kind of affection two friends, even two siblings share at times. The sweet, friendly, light one. The one you could always rely on.
It was perfect, and at the same time, it wasn't.
Because in the dark, in those invisible cracks of love, there was something obscure, something that didn't dare to appear in the daylight, something we both feared, yet craved, at the same damn time.
It didn't feel right.
But oh.....how fucking right it felt. We both knew it, we both felt it.
Life, though, was no fairy tale. It was harsh, ugly, toxic. It was real.
What did born between us, in those dark days, felt real, because of what we went through.
But was it truly love? Could it truly be love...?
No.
It wasn't love.
