MERCY [ON HOLD]

ON HOLD FOR BOARDING SCHOOL ❤️

Cecily Vey is a street girl who's lived in the slums her entire life. She's a thief, a fighter, and the smoothest talker around. In the Pits, she's known as Rook: deadly, dangerous. If you see her, run.

But Rook's hiding secrets, and a lot of them. She has a power that nobody's ever seen before: the power to take somebody's pain away by carrying it herself. But if a slum girl has a power in Nimera, she's taken by the Guards and used for her powers without mercy. They turn you into a killer. Sure, Rook is already a killer. But there's a difference between being forced to fight in the pits and fighting for the people that killed your family.

Prince Caelan has always lived in his brother's shadow. While his brother is powerful, deadly, and cold, Calean is softer after years of being told he's not good enough. It's not easy being the son of King Typhor, the most powerful shadow wielder ever known, and Queen Madeline, an extremely adept mind reader. His parents have always hated him for his common ability: he still wakes up drenched in sweat from memories of his mother delving into his mind in brutal, excruciating fashions, and his father's cutthroat punishments. He still has scars.

And then they collide - literally - and everything changes.
