"You flirt with every woman you meet?" I ask, crossing my arms.

"No." He leans closer, that stupid crooked smile appearing. "Just the ones who glare at me like they want to kill me."

"Then you must be very lonely." I retort and he laughs.

He laughs!

"Not anymore."

"I'm not dating you, Callahan."

"I know." He says, and I blink at that.

"Then why are you still asking?"

He shrugs.

"Because you keep saying no like you're hoping I'll ask again."

"I'm not."

"Then stop smiling."

My smile disappears immediately, making his grin widen.

"That's what I thought."
