Cafi itself is a fictional country and while I absolutely believe they would have had slave trade too (because most places did and I don't want to pretend they didn't), I want the book to include Oliver's fight to abolish slavery in his country. Otherwise, there may be previous mentions of abuse, but it will be extremely mild, nothing graphic, and the chapter itself will pre-warn you.
