Francesca finds that her eyes have already drifted back to her left, back towards Michaela.
"I-" She feels her cheeks paint pink, "Well you should-" She coughs. "Not."
Michaela just smiles, nonplussed, "I fear your repellant disposition is having the opposite effect, Miss Bridgerton."
Francesca cheeks redden even further as she rolls her eyes, looking away again, "I told you to-"
"Tell me then, Francesca.." Michaela purrs, turning towards Francesca and stepping closer. Francesca's neck jerks right back to her at the sound of her voice. Her heels click once, twice. And she teases a small pout, a dangerous gesture indeed, "What mountains must I move to earn favor with you?"
Francesca's eyes unconsciously fall to Michaela's lips for a half-second.
And when she looks back up, Michaela's pout transforms into that same damned enigmatic smile.
Holding her gaze steady, seemingly unaffected, Francesca finally suggests,
"Perhaps you can start with Everest."
