Saelora: The Vaelless

In Saelora, vael decides everything.

Blood. Status. Power. The right to learn.

The Highborn inherit ancient corvaels, powerful Houses, and access to Lythra. Humans-known as Maren-are taught one unquestionable truth:

Maren cannot wield magic.

Sira Laya has never been very good at believing what she is told.

Nineteen, orphaned, and born vaelless-without House, recognized corvael, or noble protection-Sira survives through machinery, knives, strategy, and the one thing no bloodline can inherit for her:

the ability to adapt.

Then she touches Lythra.

And Lythra answers.

Her impossible discovery pulls her into forbidden Maren history, ancient Houses, buried laws, and the path of Asera Caereth-a terrifying Highborn prodigy raised to contend for the Seat of Wrath.

Now the thirteen moons are beginning to align.

Vael Astra approaches.

Those recognized as Seyran will earn the right to approach the Aestravar, an ancient celestial trial where power may keep you alive-

but blood cannot guarantee victory.

No Maren is expected to stand among them.

Especially not a vaelless one.

Sira has spent her entire life hearing the same word:

Never.

Never learn Lythra.
Never challenge a serath.
Never stand beside the Highborn.
Never become more than your vael allows.

Sira intends to find out whether never is truly law-

or merely a tradition waiting to be broken.

No crown shall bar the worthy.
No blood shall guarantee the Seat.
