Noeley Preston is the words luckiest...Orphan. Mostly because of her amazing foster parents. And her very older-sisterly foster sister, Daina Benson. But Noeley thinks absolutely otherwise, but has her reasons... Nothing can make her ease up and once call her loving 'family' her own, no matter how much they care. She feels that would be like replacing her real one. Right after Daina finishes high school, Noeley gets an invitation to paint a family portrait of a very wealthy family in New York city (the place of her dreams) though she expects the entire population to be snobbier than even Daina's California crew, and as always, is perfectly correct. But of course, the one household she now has to stay in for a quarter of 12th grade, is by far, the wost. Mr. Wilson specifically said that a great painting needs to have post meditation. That she needed to envision the Wilson's as a perfect family, that is also realistic, and that it shouldn't be hard. "And what happens if it's not perfect? Nothing's perfect, right," Noeley had asked, timid, and almost afraid of the hard old man. He laughed bitterly. "Nothing but me, my family, that painting, and you, if your staying in the house with us," he snapped. I flinched back from hos face. If only he knew how stupid he sounded to her. She'd registered herself as imperfect long ago. And a lecture won't change much.

You had been attending the same school for over 15 years, obviously because you were born in the small town in North Carolina. You were living a pretty normal life, till all of the abductions started happening in 1977. But lets go back a bit. Lets go back to the year 1976. You had been on a night shift on November 18th, 1976. There were many more people than your previous shift. Really the only people there were dropouts, druggies, drug dealers, freaks, and alcoholics. All around the ages 14-22. Everybody was pretty chill with eachother, except for a few people, but that was just the minority. You had been zoned out while staring at the clock, then suddenly heard a DING! Some kid wanted to buy some cigarettes again. You looked at him and he said "Jesus kid, you in a mental insitute or something? Snap out of it." you ringed him up after he asked you for a pack of camels, and then looked at a familiar guy playing pinball. The same blonde that got over 100,000 his last time he came. Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. He started walking up to you and started asking for a dime. "Come on, I feed you guys this money all the damn time. Plus you will just get it back." "Then maybe don't waste all your money on pinball. We've gained around $200 with you coming here almost everyday. Thanks for that." and then you smiled while picking up your book. He looked at you in anger, then you looked back up at him. He looked like he was in a bad mood. "Here's a dime." you said handing him a dime.

He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. He needs and foes back to his public make out session with the other boy leaving Cali with a look of approval and bewilderment. She clips her hair over her shoulder exposing the skin of her upper back due to the low dip on the back of her dress. In the split second I see the skin I think I see a black crow with a green eye, but that's crazy. Only crow members can get crow tattoos and only descendants of the original crow can have the green eye. By tattoo that's on my lower back has a red eye. The red eye means non blood related member. But I have a smaller one with a blue eye beside it. The blue eye means leader. "What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie?" Instantly, Sawyer frowns, an unimpressed expression on his face. I continue to smile at him, urging him to ask as I grab his shoulders and shake him, "C'mon, Sawyer, you gotta ask!! What do you call a fish wearing a bowtie??" He shakes his head, turning away from me as he presses his tongue to inside of his mouth. Flatly, he states, rubbing his face, "We're not doing this shit, Mari." "Yes we are!!!" I snort loudly as he scowls at me. Poking his shoulder, I ask, "You ready?!!" "No." "I'm gonna say it." "No, you're not-" "SoFISHticated." "You're a fucking idiot." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Lengthy Chapters!!* (Also!!! Currently adding in some chapters to fill in a plot hole I noticed!! May take some time!!) The total definition of a raincloud. But, when Sawyer meets Marianne, it becomes all too clear that there's something about her he can't ignore. From the way she walks, talks, laughs, and smiles.
