Brielle has spent her entire life knowing exactly two things: she loves the ocean, and she cannot stand Malakai Rhodes.

Unfortunately for her, avoiding him is almost impossible.

They share the same friends, the same small coastal town, and somehow always end up in the same places. Every conversation turns into an argument, every glance feels like a challenge, and neither of them is willing to be the first to back down.

Brielle is convinced she knows exactly what kind of person Malakai is. Arrogant. Irritating. Completely unbearable.

And Malakai seems to feel exactly the same way about her.

But between late-night beach trips, crowded parties, summer nights and moments neither of them were supposed to share, the line between hatred and something else begins to blur.
