Daddy's behind you little rabbit

Inspired by one of my nightmares.

-----------------------------

The quiet suburban street lies completely drenched in the sharp, stark brightness of 5:53 AM. Standing by the driveway, Inside the familiar house, the air feels thick and glitched-I had just tried to chew a piece of my favorite gum, only to find it unnaturally dissolved and slimy, like it had been sitting in water overnight.

Unaware of the danger, I wanders into the bathroom where my father is using a strange, pink-colored product with an ant logo. In that exact moment, the trap springs-I instantly becomes the target, and my father transforms into a predator watching him with sinister intent.

My mother barely pulls me out of the room in time. Suddenly I aged into a terrified teenager, I flees the house, though my mother refuses to believe my frantic warnings about what my father has become.

Desperate to escape the threat behind me, I runs to the curb and begins frantically checking passing vehicles, muttering under his breath, "I'll go with anyone, just someone please."

Finally, a suspicious car pulls up with two strangers inside. As I leaps in and begs them to step on the gas, the driver only crawls forward at a snail's pace, casually taunting me about my father's speed-until suddenly realizing my dad is actually closing in fast. Standing on the pavement, my own lungs seize up as a wild, hammer-like heartbeat thuds violently against my ribs. As my father creeps closer and I boy refuses to look back.
