I was just thinking about what could've happened differently between the discussion with luffy and Ace. Like what if something dramatic happened that taught Ace a lesson without the bear scene.

"I don't think I'll make it before you leave-" You look away, not bearing to face his piercing stare anymore. "I can wait!" he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it. "I mean uhh... me and the crew... we can wait for you," he stutters out. "This place seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days." "We'll see," you softly chuckle in an attempt to hide your blank eyes. "I mean, who else is supposed to save you when you're halfway beaten to death?" Hearing his halfhearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realise this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the freckled man you've been dreaming about for the past months. Plus, Rayleigh mentioning something along the lines of her ability is similar in a way. Still haunted by the memory of not being able to save Ace. (Y/N) vowed to get stronger. Strong enough to never see anyone she cares for die in front of her again. She already lost her family once, and she'll be damned if it were to happen twice. The Strawhats, on their way to Whole Cake Island to save Sanji, stumble upon Sabo and Koala. An item called The Evocation Disc was said to defeat anyone, but pirates deemed it as useless. Now the group lands on an island where it's said this disc is held. It was like time suddenly stopped. Sabo and Luffy had ended up in a familiar forest. Soon enough they would understand the place they've stumbled upon was back in the past. This story contains cursing, and violence. It's also not shipping related so there isn't any romance. Some One Piece filler is canon because it doesn't do much for the story overall.Complete
