Benny. Ben. Moon. Mr. Sandman.

He stands six-foot-three in a world that has learned to stay low. Broad through the shoulders, thick through the arms, built like something the old world used to send into places it didn't expect to come back from. Muscle earned the hard way. Brains sharpened the harder way. Survival isn't a skill he practices; it's the only language he still speaks fluently.

The Dixons followed him. That fact sits in the air around him like gun oil and old blood. He pulled the eldest off the dirt when the dead were already close enough to taste him, hauled a man who didn't want saving out of a mouthful of teeth and rot, and never asked for thanks. He doesn't collect debts. He collects people who can keep walking.
There is nowhere left for him to go. No name on a map. No door he is expected to knock on. The last of his old life burned out years ago, and he did not look back long enough to mourn it. What remains is simpler and heavier: protect the ones close enough to reach. That is the whole religion. That is the whole war.

For as long as he can remember, it has been him and Sunny.

Sunny was made for the army-bred, trained, and pointed at human problems. Now the problems wear gray skin and empty eyes, and the dog has not forgotten how to work. He moves at Ben's heel like a second shadow with teeth. When the night goes quiet in that wrong, listening way, Sunny is already looking at the trees.

He does not promise safety. He promises he will stand between what is coming and whoever is still breathing behind him. In this world, that is as close to love as some men get.

This is an OC story I dont own the walking dead only my character ive changed some of hte story to fit what I want jsut saying and also this is mainly like a daryl x oc but its kinda a free for all until the prison section then its more Daryl.
