Who Hurt Salem

Salem Montgomery

Salem Montgomery is a 17-year-old girl born and raised in Alabama. At home, she lives under the strict control of her parents, who treat her more like a prisoner than their daughter. She has little freedom and is constantly criticized, leaving her feeling unwanted and alone.

School isn't much better. Salem is bullied, excluded, and judged by her classmates, making her feel like she has nowhere to belong.

Despite everything, Salem is intelligent, creative, and secretly dreams of becoming a writer. She expresses her feelings through stories and a hidden journal where she writes the things she's too afraid to say aloud.

But Salem's life takes a devastating turn when she dies, leaving behind unanswered questions, buried secrets, and a family that refuses to admit what they did to her.

In death, Salem's anger doesn't disappear. It grows.

Now she returns, determined to confront the people she once called family and friends. The people who ignored her pain. The people who betrayed her. The people who made her believe she was worthless.

Salem wants revenge.

As she begins exposing their secrets one by one, everyone around her is forced to face the question they desperately tried to avoid:

Who hurt Salem?
