The Rouge Isles

House Rouge is an ancient Valyrian bloodline whose magic is tied to their blood and their mysterious hidden island, protected by a supernatural fog. A fiercely matriarchal kingdom, the Rouge survived the Doom of Valyria and generations of persecution, but their alliance with the Targaryens became increasingly destructive as Rouge princesses were taken to King's Landing as part of an uneasy bargain.

At the center is Princess Drya Rouge, a rare weather-controller sent to King's Landing, where she is reduced to a maid in Rhaenyra's household. Caught between Rhaenyra and Alicent during the growing tensions that lead to the Dance of the Dragons, Drya secretly falls in love with Henrik, a knight hiding a dangerous secret of his own.

As war tears Westeros apart, Drya's connection to her homeland, her magic, and her Targaryen ties begin to collide. Meanwhile, the Rouge remain haunted by the prophecy of Vexen Rouge: "Don't let them here." What exactly she saw-and what it means for Drya, the dragons, and the future of House Rouge-remains unknown.
