Seventeen-year-old Rapunzel has been locked up in a tower ever since the Plague arose in time with her birth. When Gothel, the only mother she's ever known, takes her demand for freedom and usefulness much too far, Rapunzel sends a desperate plea to the one person who's kept hope ringing inside of her. Or, the spirit, more like.
When Jack Frost, one of the Guardians of Childhood, finally finds his way to the mysterious island of Corona, he convinces an indecisive Rapunzel to follow him into the outside world in order to both see her mother's lies for herself, and find the freedom she's always craved to have.
But when things go awry, the two are forced to team up in order to take down a force that should never have returned. And Rapunzel might just be the key to stop it.
