Ariel's estranged father, marine biologist Eli, arrives to investigate. Their search leads to an underwater cave and evidence that something unusual lives beneath the island's waters. Somewhere within the cave may be the key to saving Sam, forcing the team to confront a mysterious force from the sea that they cannot understand or predict.
