Kiana knows how to read everybody except herself.

At twenty-five, she's still trying to figure out who she is and what she wants from life.

She has her own place on the West Side, a best friend who's more like a sister, three brothers who would do anything for her, and a mother she's spent years trying to understand.

Kiana's life isn't perfect, but it's familiar.

Until the people closest to her start acting different.

Phone calls stop when she walks into the room. Strange cars start appearing around the neighborhood. Her brothers are suddenly keeping secrets, and unfamiliar faces somehow know her name.

Everyone keeps telling her the same thing:

Stay out of it.

But Kiana has always been good at reading people.

And somebody is lying.

As the streets she's always known begin showing her a different side, Kiana finds herself caught between family, loyalty, love, friendship, and a world she never planned on entering.

Because in Detroit, everybody knows somebody.

And sometimes surviving means figuring out who you can trust before it's too late.
