Numbers aren't complicated.
People are.
So when my therapist suggested I keep a diary to try to understand people, I used numbers instead of names.
I didn't expect to understand anything.
But I understood him.

I'd always been good at math.
It seemed to be the only thing I was good at.
So when I started writing the letters, it seemed fitting to use numbers to explain.
It was just meant to be a way to help him if he had gotten the chance to grow up.

Remember when I said that a kiss or an award had a time limit on it? Well, if you find the right person to say "I love you" to, that doesn't go away. That doesn't vanish. That lingers on forever if you're especially lucky. Feeding it with more is always helpful, of course, but if you've found the person whose "I love you" never goes away, then you're probably doing your damndest to keep them in your life. So it never really leaves you. What it does do is color every bit of your life with a magical sheen of joy where even bad luck appears to turn around and become good once more. Broke your shoelace? Well, maybe you walked by a lottery machine on the way to buy more and won a thousand bucks. Who knows? Glass is half full and all of that. I didn't have such interesting luck, but I did find a new level of contentment with my life.

Honestly, she had no clue why she was doing this. Most probably, it was to make someone learn from her mistakes or simply laugh at her life. Or she was just crazy. When she started, it was purely because maintaining a diary was boring and there was a chance that the people around her would know what she thought about them. This was the simplest way to maintain a diary without maintaining it. Basically, it was no strings attached. One day, he does something crazier and replies to this weird person who liked leaving her life stories around in an open book. God, she hoped he wouldn't flip his hair. Ralph looked down at the heavy breathing girl, she had icy blue eyes that were piercing, but they were also filled with some sort of fear. He wondered why she would be so filled with fear at this moment. He was worried for her; her heavy breathing has lessened but was still there. "Are you alright?" I always thought my life would be average. Maybe less. I thought maybe id get pregnant in highschool raise the child alone working hard to support us but i wouldn't trade the kid for anything.
