Kirsten Martin was supposed to go to Ilvermorny.

Then her magic showed up nearly a year late, her family moved to Britain, and suddenly she was standing inside Hogwarts with a wand, a pile of wizard money she didn't understand, and approximately a thousand questions.

Being magical is cool.

Not knowing how anything works is fucking annoying.

After a six-minute Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, Kirsten chooses Ravenclaw for one simple reason: she'd rather spend her energy learning than constantly proving a Muggle-born belongs.

Unfortunately, learning has consequences.

Questions about blood status lead to questions about the war. Questions about Hogwarts lead to rooms that shouldn't exist. A strange burst of purple magic leaves even her professors without answers. And somehow, despite insulting his hair within minutes of meeting him, Draco Malfoy becomes one of her closest friends.

Kirsten isn't here to replace Harry Potter, follow his adventures, or quietly accept the wizarding world exactly as she finds it. (Plot will change with ripple effects however.)

She has her own questions to answer, her own magic to understand, and seven years to discover exactly where she belongs.
