The Summer I Stopped Breathing

We spend our whole lives believing we have time.

Time to fall in love.
Time to say the things we've been too afraid to say.
Time to make memories, fix mistakes, and become the people we're meant to be.

But time has never promised us forever.

Sometimes, it slips through our fingers quietly - hidden inside ordinary mornings, unfinished conversations, stolen glances, and moments we don't realize are precious until they're already gone.

And sometimes, the cruelest thing about running out of time isn't knowing how little you have left.

It's finally finding something worth living for.

Because when the clock begins to count down, every second becomes a memory waiting to happen.

And there are some summers you never truly leave behind.

Some summers change you.
Some summers break you.
And some summers teach you how to breathe before time runs out.

This is The Summer I Stopped Breathing, and this is Aimee's story.
