THE ARCANE METHOD: First Principles

Dr. Marcus Hale spent his first life studying the laws of reality.

A computational physicist, programmer, obsessive gamer, and lifelong fantasy nerd, Marcus had always loved stories about reincarnation, magic, and impossible systems.

He just had one complaint.

Nobody ever used their cheats properly.

So when an accident ends his life and he awakens as Aren Valis, an infant in a world where magic is real, Marcus is already prepared for the impossible.

Then the System appears.

The **Axiom Engine** does not give him legendary weapons, infinite power, or convenient answers. Instead, it gives him something far more dangerous:

The ability to observe.

To measure.

To analyze.

To experiment.

And Marcus was a scientist long before he became a mage.

While the people of his new world learn magic through ancient chants, inherited traditions, and centuries-old teachings, Aren begins asking questions no one seems interested in answering.

Why does a chant produce a spell?

What exactly is mana?

Can spells be broken into smaller components?

Can multiple spells operate simultaneously?

Can magical structures be optimized?

Can they be redesigned?

Can they be automated?

And if magic follows rules...

Then those rules can be tested.

But Aren understands something many reincarnators do not.

Power attracts attention.

A child performing impossible magic will not simply be called a genius.

He might become a weapon.

A political asset.

A religious miracle.

Or something that needs to disappear.

So while everyone around him sees an unusually quiet boy growing up in the remote village of Dunmere, Aren hides what he truly is, carefully building his knowledge one experiment at a time.

No grand declarations.

No miraculous demonstrations.

No announcing that he remembers another world.

Just observation.

Hypothesis.

Experiment.

Failure.

Revision.

And progress.

But as Aren begins uncovering the hidden principles behind magic, the Axiom Engine records something it cann
