the midwife

Ellie is a petite young woman with soft brown hair that falls just below her shoulders, usually pinned neatly underneath her nurse's cap while she is working. She has hazel eyes, a warm smile and a youthful face that sometimes makes patients underestimate her.
She dresses exactly as a young midwife of the period would-uniform dresses, sensible shoes, stockings and her nursing cape when she is out on her rounds.
She carries herself neatly and professionally, although when she is nervous she has a habit of fiddling with the strap of her midwife's bag.
