Welcome to hell. Remember that one expression your friends used to exclude someone? "Avoid him like a plague." They said and you all just laughed along, stupidly. Now, as the years roll on and hits 2020, how are you supposed to shun the invasion if you're in the middle? It doesn't matter who you were, who you are. You aren't looked upon for your grades nor skills to play basketball, you're respected for your ability to survive and keep those around you alive. Survive the uncivil madness now erupting into the Earth's simple ways, keep your head together, keep the panic down.

It wasn't bad enough that Ben was homeless. Having a dead family nearly killed him before. Until he learned to live alone on the docks and streets, scavenging for food and supplies just to stay alive. He was actually doing well. Then, he saw the bodies washed up on the beach. All were dead except for one: a young boy like him. As they were meeting, they saw the other dead bodies... walk. How was this possible? They were already dead... but now they're walking. And they're not who they were anymore. White-soulless eyes, weather beaten flesh, mindless flesh-eaters. They have to fight to survive, or they too will become the Infected. *WARNING: detailed content may not be suitable for children under the age of 15 for blood, gore, detail, and violence. Reader discretion is advised.

A zombie-apocalypse type story set in the modern era. (I see that I am not the only story with this as the title, however, I am not going to change it. Enjoy the story! If you liked it, don't forget to vote!)
