Hostage ⑅ Frank Castle

Frank Castle kidnaps her on a Tuesday. By Wednesday, half of New York wants her dead, and he is the only thing standing between them and her.

She was never supposed to become part of his war. She was only in the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnessed something that could destroy one of New York's most dangerous crime bosses. Frank takes her before the men who saw her can, promising he will let her go as soon as it is safe. But one night becomes several, and hiding from hired killers in a cramped safe house leaves very little room between her and the man she has every reason to fear.

The longer she remains with Frank, the harder it becomes to see him as the heartless monster described on the news. Beneath the blood and fury is a man who protects her without hesitation, remembers everything she says, and refuses to admit that losing her has become his greatest fear. She was only supposed to be collateral damage. Frank Castle was never supposed to care.
