She loved him before she even understood what love was.

From the moment they met, there was something about him that made her feel like he was meant to stay. They became friends but somewhere between the late conversations, the moments that felt like more than friendship, and the feelings she never knew how to explain, she fell for him.

She just never told him.

Instead she stayed beside him, hoping that maybe one day he would notice the things she was too afraid to say.

Then he left.
