Deep within Hell lies a secluded territory unlike any other. While much of Hell is consumed by chaos, violence, and constant change, this hidden land preserves the traditions and atmosphere of ancient Asian civilizations. Lantern-lit streets wind between wooden houses, temples, shrines, markets, tea houses, gardens, and fortified residences. Its culture draws inspiration from historical eras such as Edo and Bakumatsu Japan, the Ming Dynasty, and other traditional East Asian societies.
Hidden within this peaceful territory is a powerful secret clan whose members operate throughout Hell. The clan is composed of highly trained warriors, assassins, scouts, spies, diplomats, messengers, and protectors. Its members are trained in far more than combat, learning discipline, strategy, stealth, survival, diplomacy, history, and the importance of protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Above all else, the clan values loyalty and trust. Its warriors are not expected to blindly follow orders. They are taught to think for themselves, understand the consequences of their actions, and make the right decision even when no one is there to guide them. To its members, the clan is more than an organization. It is a family. Every warrior has a role and a purpose, whether defending their homeland, gathering intelligence, escorting travelers, investigating threats, negotiating with powerful demons, or venturing into dangerous regions of Hell. But Hell is constantly changing. Powerful factions compete for territory and influence. Old rivalries continue to shape the underworld, while new threats emerge from the shadows. As the balance of power shifts, those who have dedicated themselves to protecting their home and their way of life find themselves facing challenges that will test their loyalty, strength, and convictions.
