Seven years ago Kayte's dad, Marcus, was sent off to jail for a DUI and kidnapping. Kayte moved in with her boyfriend Jacob, who is now her loving husband, and father of her soon-to-be first born child.
Marcus is out of jail now, and wants nothing more than a second chance to have his family back. To him, second chances are legendary.
Marcus had always tried to get his family back within the first month of being in jail. He kept sending Kayte and her grandmother letters from jail, but never got a letter in return.
When he finds out that Kayte and Jacob moved back to San Diego, California, he follows them. Hoping for a second chance. He soon finds out that Kayte's brother, Kyle, had gone to live with them as well.
Will Kayte be willing to let her father try again, or will she shut him out of her and Kyle's life for good?
