Emory Matthews has always lived on the wrong side of town.

As Two-Bit's little sister, she's grown up surrounded by Greasers, fights, late nights, and the constant war between the Greasers and the Socs. She's used to it. It's simply the life she's been given.

Then there's Ponyboy Curtis.

What starts as an unlikely friendship slowly becomes something more complicated when Emory realizes Ponyboy's heart belongs to someone else.

And then she meets Cherry Valance.

She's a Soc. Emory is a Greaser. They're supposed to hate each other.

Instead, they understand each other.

As friendships change, old rivalries grow more dangerous, and the lines between Greaser and Soc begin to blur, Emory finds herself falling for the one person she was never supposed to love.

But in a world where everyone is fighting to survive, loving someone doesn't guarantee you get to stay.
