Adalyn had her whole life planned out she would graduate high school with high honors, go to Stanford, and then dedicate the rest of her life to writing her stories. Unfortunately not everything goes as she planed with the emerging of mean girls, old problems of the past, and the new kid Max Bond. Adalyn discovers that there's more to life then sitting in her room all day studying and writing, and that having a life outside of her computer is one that is worth living no matter how scary it might seem.

"We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart.
