They thought knowing the truth would make things easier.

It didn't.

Kaizer can hear the thoughts of those drowning in loneliness. Iris can feel and absorb the emotions they carry. And somewhere between their abilities lies the mystery of the golden threads-the strange force behind the disappearances.

Now, they know something is taking people.

But knowing isn't enough anymore.

Because every time the golden threads appear, they are faced with someone who is hurting, someone who is slowly slipping away, and a creature that seems to know exactly how to find them.

Kaizer and Iris decide they can no longer ignore what is happening. Together, they begin searching for answers, helping those being hunted, and uncovering the ancient history behind the creature.

But the closer they get to the truth, the more the creature notices them.

Iris's headaches are getting worse.

Kaizer is beginning to realize that his powers may be far more connected to the creature than he ever imagined.
