What's Good About A Deadbeat?

"You guys are getting married!?" A young Megumi asked, face dark with disapproval.

The man only grunted. The woman shrugged.

That non-answer made Megumi more restless. He rounded on the woman, disgust plain on his face at the thought of this gorgeous woman settling for his old man.

"What's so good about a deadbeat?"

She shrugged again.

The man's expression darkened at being called out to his face.

Beside Megumi, Tsumiki nodded along slowly, silently seconding every word from her step-brother.

"Why don't you marry me instead?" Megumi pressed on. "I'm younger, with better potential, and a hundred times better than that deadbeat old man."
The man's face went totally black like the bottom of a pot. The woman threw her head back and roared with laughter.
