Wish It Were You.

Charlotte and Damien were best friends. They told each other things they didn't tell anyone else, built a friendship full of inside jokes and memories, and slowly became two people who mattered far more to each other than either of them realised.

Damien fell first. He confessed his feelings, but Charlotte pushed him away. She convinced herself they were too different, that they belonged in different worlds, and that letting someone love her was more frightening than being alone.

Until she started falling for him too.

But by then, things weren't simple anymore. Feelings were misunderstood, words were left unsaid, and the friendship they once took for granted began to fall apart. Charlotte was left wondering whether she had realised what she wanted too late-and whether some people can still find their way back to each other after everything has changed.

Because sometimes the hardest part isn't falling in love.

It's knowing you might have lost the person who was your best friend first.
