A rough looking figure pushed past the door and strode up to the counter, speaking before I could open my mouth. "Root beer. One."
I blinked, caught off guard. "Just one drink? T-That's it? No pizza?"
Suitcase may be ordinary--and she's perfectly happy like that, thank you--but her life suddenly isn't when a strange new person quickly becomes a regular at the pizza shop where she works as a cashier. As the two encounter the other more and more, curiosity ends up not being the only feeling involved.
And above all stands the question:
How messed up do you have to be to walk into a pizza shop and not get any pizza when you're in NYC?

(That's Paintbrush x Lightbulb x Test Tube x Fan btw) (Test Tube and Lightbulb's relationship isn't romantic at all after the prologue though dw) Note: This is the first fanfiction I've ever wrote, so it might be a little rough around the edges. During the years of 1971 and 1972, strange things started to happen to a little girl's family and no one could figure out why. Ruby was given a diary to write down her day to day life during this time period, and very odd and frightening things are written and described in it. Short after, she dies of mysterious circumstances and no one can figure out what has happened; if it is a curse or something more sinister. This is Ruby's diary.
