The Grey Stables

Reader did not know about Russell family, as her mother moved to a small city hundreds of miles away. Her mother knew Paris in high school briefly, he had been a freshman and she had been a senior. They had stayed close over phone, but eventually drifted apart. Now, reader, originally planning to visit her grandma for the summer during a gap year in college, discovers that her grandma had passed away without her knowledge. Her mom's friend Catterina calls up Paris, whom her mother Lola had told him about her daughter years before they drifted apart, and is letting her stay with him and his three sons on their ranch.
