She didn't notice the presence behind her until a hand settled firmly at her waist, pulling her back gently.
She looked up to find Samrat watching her, his expression unreadable as always. She tilted her chin up, holding his gaze steadily.
"Gun dekhke darr laga?" he asked quietly. (Did the gun scare you?)
Khwab looked straight into his eyes, and without another word, reached forward and pulled the gun tucked at his own waist out from his pocket, holding it briefly before setting it down on a nearby table.
"Unki nahi, par aapki gun se zaroor lagta hai," she said. "Humare najdeek aane se pehle phenk ke aaya kijiye ise." (Not theirs, but yours definitely scares me. Please throw it away before coming near me.)
Samrat studied her for a moment. "Humari gun se darne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Humari tarah yeh bhi mohabbat karti hai aapse aapko kuch karne se pehle yeh khudko khatam kar legi." (There's no need to fear my gun. Just like me, it loves you too before it could ever hurt you, it would destroy itself first.)
"Aur agar kisi din humari maut ki wajah bani yeh toh?" Khwab asked softly. (And if one day it became the reason for my death?)
"Ispar aapka khoon lagne se pehle hum uss wajah ko hi khatam kar denge," Samrat said, leaning down to press a slow kiss to her forehead. (Before your blood could ever touch it, I would destroy the reason itself.)
"Itni mohabbat karte hain humse?" she asked, a small smile tugging at her lips despite herself. (You love me this much?)
"Pehli dafa kisi se mohabbat hui hai. Aapko khabar tak nahi hai kitni shiddat se chaha hai Samrat Mahajan ne aapko." he said, voice low. (This is the first time I've loved anyone. You don't even know how intensely Samrat Mahajan has wanted you.)
Khwab blushed at his words, looking away briefly before meeting his eyes again.
