This isn't the story of everything that happened to me. Its the story of everything I was taught not to talk about.
I wish I could begin by telling you this story has been exaggerated. That time distorted my memories, trauma filled in the blanks, and somewhere beneath all the ugliness was a perfectly reasonable explanation.
