A Name Worth Losing.

Cordelia Vane is a 6th year Slytherin at Hogwart School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her family is old money. Purebloods who look down to anyone under them. Her father works closley with his brother in law, Lucius Malfoy at the ministry. She grew up with Draco Malfoy but they never really saw eye to eye. He hated anything thats not to his "standards". Throwing around the word 'mudblood' like his father and spitting on people who didn't have as much as he was just handed. She would sneak away to watch the muggles in the nearby village. Happy to learn anything they could teach her.
On the day of her 11th birthday, she got the letter from Hogwarts. Her parents were thrilled. Well, as thrilled as parents who didnt care even what her favorite color even was. They'd been cold to her, her entire life. She wasn't a boy. Essentially poinless to a pureblood family. But still with some hope of marrying her off to keep the pureblood line going they took her to Diagon alley to get school essentials in hopes she'll meet a pure blood, old money boy at school..
6 years later, shes now 17 and still yet to bring home any boys or news of a possible husband. But...she has met, George Weasley. The tall, lankey, loud, twin of Fred Weasley. Six out of eight of the Weasley clan. He was a pureblood but someone her family would NEVER approve of. But hes so kind...and gentle with her. Something she'd never experienced growing up.
Things get complicated months after she accepts the most awkward date invitation from him. Summer is on them and that means nothing but fun. Right? Wrong. She finds out her parents had found her an "elegable bachelor" and they begin planning her wedding for after she graduates.
For Cordelia, strong headed and very much in love, ABSOLUTELY not...she isn't going to let that happen.
