Wildflowers & Cowboy Boots

"You still tryin' to ride a cowboy?"

Iris Monroe never thought moving from Atlanta to the middle of nowhere would change her life.

She doesn't know how to ride a horse.
She doesn't know how to drive a tractor.
She doesn't even understand half the things people say with their thick Southern accents.

But she does know pink.

Bows.
Flowers.
Cute dresses.
And being unapologetically herself.

Then there's Amos Walker.

The cowboy every girl in town wants but nobody can have.

He's eighteen, six-foot-four, covered in tattoos, built like he spends half his life in the gym, and can ride a horse like he was born in the saddle. He's a boxer, a rancher, and the kind of boy who doesn't chase girls.

He doesn't flirt.

He doesn't date.

And according to everyone in Maple Creek...

"That boy ain't never looked twice at no girl."

Until Iris.

What starts with a borrowed cowboy hat quickly becomes something neither of them can ignore.

One minute she's learning how to ride a horse.

The next, she's standing inches away from him while he's shirtless in the barn, trying very hard not to stare.

Then there's the night he leans against the doorframe, looks her up and down, and quietly asks-

"You sure you wanna keep playin' with this cowboy?"

Iris doesn't back away.

She looks him straight in the eyes.

"I told you. I wanna ride the cowboy."

She came to the country thinking she'd have to change to fit in.

Instead, she found friends, found herself...

And maybe-

she found the one cowboy who was never supposed to fall for her.
