The Case at Manhattan Mall

Olivia Benson and her wife have always dreamed of becoming mothers together. For the past five months, they have been trying to have a baby, hoping that each new month might finally bring them the good news they've been waiting for.

But so far, every pregnancy test has been negative.

The repeated disappointment has been difficult for both of them. Olivia tries to remain hopeful, while her wife sometimes struggles with the fear that their dream of having a child together may take longer than they expected. Still, they continue trying and supporting each other through every difficult month.

During this time, they have also opened their home and hearts to Noah, a three-month-old baby they are fostering. Although they know that fostering him may not be permanent, Noah has quickly become an important part of their family. His little smiles, late-night cries, and tiny moments of happiness have brought them closer together.

For Olivia, motherhood has become something she experiences in two different ways: she is already Noah's foster mother, while at the same time she and her wife are desperately hoping to welcome a child of their own.

Then, just as they are trying to find some stability as a family, a serious crime occurs at her wife's famous restaurant and bakery in Manhattan Mall.

Olivia is called in as part of the SVU investigation-and suddenly the case threatens to disrupt the family they have worked so hard to build.
