Uchiha Reika was supposed to be dead.
Seven years after Konoha mourned its prodigy jōnin, Kakashi Hatake encounters a merciless assassin on the road home from the Land of Waves. Her long black hair is gone, cut shorter and streaked crimson. So are the Leaf symbol and Uchiha crest she once wore proudly. But Kakashi recognizes her before she can disappear again.
Reika survived because she learned to become more dangerous than the people hunting her. Now returning home means facing the brother who believes she abandoned him, uncovering why Itachi destroyed their family, confronting the village elder who once ordered her eyes cut from her corpse, and discovering whether the man she left behind can love the woman who came back.
